ADAC project day classes 6

Sure, in theory everyone knows how it works - safety in road traffic, as pedestrians and cyclists - but testing your own knowledge, mastering a complicated obstacle course and experiencing the braking distance of a car up close is something completely different.

The pupils in Year 6 of the International Secondary School and the International Grammar School in Niederwürschnitz completed their project day with the ADAC expert with motivation and a lot of fun.

In autumnal temperatures, the pupils got on their bikes and completed the initially simple-looking course, which quickly proved to be quite tricky, with flying colors. However, it was not just riding skills that were required here, but also knowledge about road safety.

The second part of the day focused more intensively on the topic of pedestrian safety. The children learned lots of interesting facts about braking distances and were able to test their own braking distances as well as experience first-hand how long it takes for a car to stop at a speed of just 30 km/h.
