Stone Age in Niederwürschnitz

What a wonderful journey back to the Stone Age our fifth graders took during our Stone Age Festival. This incredible project brought the past to life. For three days, the students lived like prehistoric man, using only what nature gave them.

What a wonderful journey back to the Stone Age our fifth graders took during our Stone Age Festival. This incredible project brought the past to life. For three days, the students lived like prehistoric man, using only what nature gave them. In the various workshops and activities, they felt like real cavemen and learned how early humans lived without modern things. They painted cave walls, made stone and bone tools, tried their hand at making fire the old-fashioned way, made weapons and tried out hunting techniques, cooked like the people of long ago, built a shelter, made musical instruments and much more. These activities imparted the knowledge of these skills and demonstrated the difficulties and challenges our ancestors faced. They got to feel their hands and discover the past in a new way.
