Niederwürschnitz International Schools win prizes

The week of 17.04.2023 was dominated by language competitions at the Niederwürschnitz International Schools. The internal Olympics of all SIS schools (Saxony International Schools) took place in Meerane, as well as the Saxon English Olympics for ninth-grade high school students in Chemnitz.

On Monday, our eight participating students returned from the SIS Spanish Olympiad with two 2nd places and three 3rd places. This was even surpassed on Wednesday at the SIS English Olympiad with one 1st place, four 2nd places and two 3rd places. This means that seven out of eight participants reached the podium - amazing!

The highlight of the week, however, was Thursday, when Emilia Gaube from class 9a actually came 2nd out of all the participating secondary school students in the Saxon English Olympiad from the greater Chemnitz area. She is now moving on to the final in Dresden, for which we are keeping our fingers crossed for her on May 11.

Wow - what an exciting and successful week! Congratulations to all participants - you are great and we are so proud of you!
