After exciting matches in the preliminary rounds, Neukirchen came out on top and won the final against Elsterberg with a commanding 3:0. Neukirchen deserved to win the tournament.
Niederwürschnitz won the match for third place, even if one or two players may be annoyed that more would have been possible. Nevertheless, all players got enough minutes and the team put in a strong performance. Meerane ended up in 4th place, but was able to demonstrate morale and a steady improvement in performance over the course of the tournament.
It was particularly pleasing that there were no injuries, meaning that all players were able to finish the tournament in good health. A big thank you goes to the coaches for their support and to our own students, who created a great atmosphere as vociferous fans.
